About Lifemark Aspire program
Aspire supports people with disabilities who want to overcome barriers to employment, explore new career possibilities, and build the skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace. Whether you’re unsure where to start, need foundational skills, or want help finding and keeping a job, Aspire offers a safe, person-centred, and trauma-informed environment to help you move forward.
Through customized employment supports, hands-on work simulations, and personalized career coaching, you’ll develop confidence, workplace skills, and real-world experience, everything you need to feel ready for employment.
Aspire is funded by the Province of Alberta in partnership with the Government of Canada.

What you’ll get with Aspire
Aspire is delivered through a mix of in-person and virtual services, giving you flexible access to the support you need.
Explore career options
Gain clarity about what type of work fits you best. Through guided career exploration and hands-on work simulations, you can try tasks in a safe environment and discover your strengths with confidence.
Build skills that matter
Strengthen the skills employers are looking for through personalized support, Skills for Success training (literacy, numeracy, digital, workplace skills), and job-readiness workshops.
You also receive English language support, study groups, and wraparound services to help remove barriers.
Practice in real-world settings
Work simulation modules help you apply what you’ve learned, build confidence, and develop practical skills before stepping into a workplace.
Connect with employers
Get opportunities to meet inclusive employers, learn about different industries, and explore work trials or work experiences that help you find the right fit.
Access ongoing support
You’re supported throughout your journey and beyond, with access to Lifemark’s Clothing Closet, Food Pantry, Virtual Career Centre, and up to 365 days of follow-up support.
Who is eligible for the Aspire program?
You may be a great fit for Aspire if you:
- Live in Edmonton or surrounding areas
- Are 18 years or older
- Identify as a person with a disability (physical, psychological, mental/behavioural, sensory, developmental, or other)
- Are unemployed or marginally employed
- Are legally able to work and train in Canada
