WORKforce
Lifemark has designed an innovative, holistic and comprehensive program, WORKforce, aimed at connecting unemployed individuals in the North West Alberta region to meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities.
We will work with you to make a customized plan to help you with your employment goals. Lifemark is able to offer this program to eligible Albertans at no cost.
Are you eligible?
You may be eligible for this program if you:
- Are a resident of North West Alberta? (This region includes Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Whitecourt, Grande Prairie, Valleyview, Peace River, Slave Lake, High Prairie, High Level and surrounding areas.)
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Are unemployed or marginally employed
- Are not currently attending an education program under the School Act (K-12)
- Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Are able to work and train in Canada
Program education and skills training details
Programming is customizable, with participants being able to access up to 6 months of services, available in-person and virtually. Services include:
- Employment focused workshops
- 1 on 1 meetings for career planning and support
- Job placement opportunities
- Ongoing job coaching and placement supports
